Dr. Fried is one of a handful of neurosurgeons in the country to be board certified in both general neurosurgery and pediatric neurosurgery. He is a nationally recognized leader and innovator in pediatric and adult neurosurgery, pediatric and adult brain tumor surgery, and epilepsy surgery.

Dr. Mostafa El Khashab has been practicing neurosurgery since 1995. After completing a two-year accredited pediatric neurosurgery fellowship in August, 2007 he joined Dr. Arno Fried at Advanced Neurosurgery Associates. He is an attending neurosurgeon in the Department of Neurosurgery at Hackensack University Medical Center, where he also practices as a pediatric neurosurgeon. Dr. El Khashab is a pediatric neurosurgeon in the Department of Neurosurgery at St. Barnabas Medical Center and Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, both in New Jersey. Additionally, Dr. El Khashab serves as an attending neurosurgeon at Saint Peter’s University Medical Center in New Brunswick, New Jersey.
Dr. Allison Rathmann is a graduate of the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her undergraduate degree in Biology and Pre-Med focus at the University of Kentucky and Transylvania University, both in Lexington, KY. She did her neurosurgery residency at the Saint Barnabas Medical Center and Hackensack University Medical Center, both in New Jersey, and a mini-fellowship in endoscopic endonasal surgery at Cornell University in New York. Dr. Rathmann also completed fellowship training in pediatric neurosurgery at the prestigious Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, OH.
Dr. Vivek Ramakrishnan is a spine specialist at Advanced Neurosurgery Associates. He is trained and board certified in all facets of general neurosurgery and is privileged to be one of a handful of neurosurgeons with training in both neurosurgery and orthopaedic spine surgery. He completed a fellowship in complex and minimally invasive spine surgery at the prestigious University of California, San Diego, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, a department that nationally ranks in the top 10 percent.
